A very unique way to revive an old ship was built in Montreal, Canada, where a ferry from the era, 57 years ago, now abandoned, was adapted as a new, modern and luxurious spa. Bota Bota, the name of the boat, did point between Sorel and Berthier, Quebec in the ’50s and ’60s, until the studio Sid Lee Architecture has put his hand to the structure, transforming it into a true spa float. Each of the five bridges are now various spa facilities and all the comforts to relax and spend a very special trip.
In the era of “recycling” total human ingenuity has been atto save ancient ships or old aircraft setting them to new functions.
Even in the case of the Bota Bota, the project has created a new very special structure.
Now on the ship you can enjoy all the treatments of a real spa,the Whirlpool, to wraps and spa treatments, massages and much more, while enjoying a cocktail at the bar while you admire the view of the city from the water.
