Each trip has its charm, country treasures. Costa Rica is amazing where you see and has a rich cultural and artistic traditions and very interesting. This week is dedicated to this beautiful country as it celebrates the 30th anniversary of the great cultural work of Jacob Gallery Karpio.
All this celebration made us look at everything related to art and culture in Costa Rica and found important to spend a brief note to his beautiful National Theater is really a gem. This was built in 1890 and opened in 1897. It’s striking architecture neoclassical style contains marbles that were brought from Italy at the time.
Inside the theater are the three famous sculptures that decorate Pietro Bugatelli so majestic facade and representing dance, music and fame.
A striking painting that can be found on the steps of the theater is the “Allegory of Coffee” by artist Aleardo Villa.
This Theater is currently one of the busiest tourist spots, worth knowing and if you can be part of the public in some of their works or presentations of the National Symphony Orchestra.
